Yellowstone National Park - Mammoth Springs Terrace
Thermal waters were quite evident at the northern entrance of Yellowstone. As one drives through Mammoth Springs, a white mound becomes visible. Among the tourists, elk, bison and plush grounds of the old army installation, the protrusion catches the eye.
Walkways surround the natural phenomenon offering the viewer a close up of geyser cauldrons and mineral deposits. The juxtaposition of colors is vivid and amazing.
If you didn't know any better, the image seems to be covered in pristine snow.
Over the past nine years, God has shown me how cathartic and eye-opening writing can be. I have also learned that it is much easier to cling to the Maker in times of despair, thus I am finding the need to learn how to negotiate the okay times with Him rather than on my own strength. I have discovered that having an audience drives me towards a deeper sense of authenticity and a more consistent intention to the task of writing. Hence, if you choose to peruse this blog, you will see what I see and what God is teaching me to see. By the way, I am the shortest one in the picture. :)
